![]() A knowledge of the parameters of your turbine will be needed before playing with this. You will need to play trial and error with the U0- U5 settings to alter the curve. ![]() I needed to connect a 24v battery to do this once when playing about and set it at 18v. U0 needs to be around 24-28v minimum otherwise this can happen. If you alter the power curve settings and end up with it cycling/cutting in/out due to trying to draw too much power at low speeds and tripping to undervoltage cutoff you can't get back to the setup screens to reset it all as it needs a stable running environment to run the logging software and let you adjust it back again! It isn't that daunting to do, however If you really want to have a go then below is a rough guide to what to watch out for. ![]() If as me you are self designing/installing a water turbine/wheel then you DO need to set these parameters up specifically for your equipment. Only if performance is off somehow would you need to recheck/adjust. If its on a wind turbine then whoever installed this should have tweaked it for best operation on the site conditions as found. If you have one of these for solar PV it will doubtful ever need adjusting. I agree that this info shouldn't be freely available as tinkering without knowing what you need to tinker with is a bit risky.
